Cooper IT is excited to offer a summer internship position to a qualified individual. We are looking for a rising senior, or junior, who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievements, who is a team player, and willing to learn how a hospital information technology department operates. The candidate should be in technical academic majors such as Computer Science, Management Information System, Health Information Management or Data Analytics to be successful in this role. The candidate should also possess foundational skills in SQL language, Power BI or similar visualization tool, as well some advance programming skills such as Python.
The candidate should expect to use SQL database systems, data warehouse, data extraction and planning, learn to understand EMR processes and be able to present timely feedback of their achievements. The candidate may be asked to rotate with other teams within IT to fully understand IT operational process. This role will report to Director of Enterprise Information and Architecture within IT Technology group.
• Responsible for successfully completing daily tasks and/or projects as assigned.• Will complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner while exhibiting the Cooper University Healthcare Core Value qualities.• Must convey a positive attitude and be self-motivated.• Must complete and present a brief final report on their key responsibilities and learning’s at final team meeting
Some program assistant, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred
Must be an undergraduate (junior or senior year) majoring in the area of interest or have completed relevant coursework.
