Short Description

PGY2 pharmacy residency builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists in specialized areas of practice. Provides residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings.

0-2 years experience.

Education Requirements

Doctorate Degree

 

ASHP Accredited PGY1 residency required.   A copy of the PGY1 residency certificate to be presented to the residency program director by July 5 of the appointed year.

License/Certification Requirements

New Jersey Pharmacy Licensure (or eligible for licensure within 30 days).

Postgraduate year (PGY-1) residency from an accredited ASHP residency.
