Summary:

The physical therapist will work in the Research department in the Upper Extremity Motion Analysis Lab, which evaluates patients and provides clinical data to help providers enhance treatment plans. This individual will collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, therapists, biomechanists, and research scientists in our newly established motion capture laboratory. This lab features the latest 3D marker-based and markerless sensor technology, along with electromyography evaluation. Their role will involve studying, analyzing, and improving patient movement and function.

This position will plan, evaluate, organize, and implement physical therapy treatment programs in a developmentally appropriate manner for our pediatric patients facing various issues and conditions affecting their upper extremities. The physical therapist will deliver competent and skilled care tailored to the needs of patients and their families. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining good customer relations, exercising sound clinical judgment, making appropriate decisions, and adopting a team-oriented approach grounded in evidence-based practice.

The therapist will monitor patient responses to treatment, recommend complex and customized adaptive equipment as needed, and provide clinical support and expertise to specialty programs. Interaction and participation with staff, student development, and the advancement of clinical competency programs are expected to better serve our patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy.

  • Pediatric experience preferred.

  • BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.

  • State license for Physical Therapy or licensure eligible.
