About this role

Overview

The Patient Care Tech will assume responsibility and accountability for providing support services to ensure continuity of care and help to meet the department goals as directed by the health care team. The Patient Care Tech will perform patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. They will assist patients with personal hygiene, nutrition, elimination, skin care, use of equipment and other clinical and administrative tasks which are delegated and assigned.  The Patient Care Tech will perform delegated support functions and patient care duties that are within the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel.  The Patient Care Tech will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.

 

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

 

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of

Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to

Patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and

supporting the delivery health care related services.


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent or higher education
Basic keyboarding skills, preferred
Clinical experience or CNA preferred
Prior to independence from preceptor successful completion of:
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, training included
Point of Care Testing Equipment Orientation
Crisis Prevention and Intervention/SAFE in 90 days

About Conway Regional

Conway Regional Health System provides complete health care services to a seven-county service area of North Central Arkansas including Cleburne, Conway, Faulkner, Perry, Pope, Van Buren and Yell Counties. This one-of-a-kind partnership creates a model of shared governance to promote meaningful engagement of physician leaders with hospital administrative leadership—all in an effort to improve patient experience and enhance care.

Conway Regional maintains an employee engagement score in the top 20% of hospitals throughout the country and a Medical Staff engagement score in the top 5%, as compared to hospitals of similar size and scope. Conway Regional was the first hospital in Arkansas to partner with Arkansas Children’s Hospital in the Nursery Alliance, allowing more babies to receive care closer to home.
