Overview
This exciting opportunity is full-time with Pellera. The Senior or Principal AI Solution Architect serves as a dual technical and strategic lead, orchestrating the design of scalable AI and HPC platform architectures. Bridging the gap between executive vision and technical delivery, this role ensures that production-ready AI solutions align with complex customer requirements. As a trusted advisor, you will influence the entire lifecycle—from pre-sales and partner strategy to final implementation—while maintaining high visibility across sales, architecture, and managed services teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Leadership & Strategy
- Own and evolve reference architectures and blueprints for AI and HPC platforms, spanning compute and GPU acceleration, networking, storage, orchestration, security, and operations
- Translate business objectives and AI use cases into scalable, secure, and supportable architectures
- Frame executive-level trade-offs for large initiatives, such as performance versus cost, portability versus optimization, and build versus buy
- Establish architecture quality gates, design review checklists, and risk-mitigation guidelines for complex engagements
- Serve as the escalation point for architectural decisions and program risks, bringing structure and clarity to ambiguous situations
- Provide structured feedback that influences partner roadmaps and internal service offerings
- Help shape joint go-to-market strategies with ecosystem partners
- Partner closely with delivery leadership to ensure architectures are deployable at scale
- Lead internal enablement sessions for sales, architects, and delivery teams
- Represent the organization in executive briefings, advisory boards, and technical events
AI Platform & Solution Design
- Design end-to-end AI platforms supporting model training, inference, MLOps, and lifecycle management
- Guide infrastructure choices, including GPU platforms, networking fabrics, storage architectures, and orchestration layers
- Ensure designs address performance, scalability, security, compliance, operational readiness, and cost management
- Support proofs of concept, pilots, and large-scale production designs from an architectural leadership perspective
Required Skills and Experience
Must-Have
- Broad, hands-on expertise across AI and HPC infrastructure, demonstrated in large and complex enterprise programs
- Deep understanding of AI platforms, GPU-accelerated environments, and data-intensive architectures
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and partner strategies through architectural leadership
- Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to set technical direction and drive consensus
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience defining or refining AI and HPC service offerings, including assessments, design, implementation readiness, or managed services
- Familiarity with governance and compliance considerations for AI workloads, including data protection, model risk, and observability
