Position Title: Compensation Data Analyst
Job Summary:
The Compensation Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting compensation data to support the development and maintenance of competitive pay structures. This role ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations while providing actionable insights to HR and business leaders
Essential Functions:
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect and validate compensation data from internal systems and external market surveys.
- Analyze pay trends, salary structures, and benchmarking data to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and dashboards for leadership decision-making.
- Compensation Program Support
- Maintain compensation databases and ensure data integrity across HRIS and analytics tools.
- Collaboration
- Partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation recommendations.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with compensation survey tools (e.g., Salary.com, CompAnalyst).
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and data management.
- Ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in compensation analysis or HR analytics.
- Experience with market pricing and salary benchmarking preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Experience with statistical analysis or data modeling.
- Certification in compensation (CCP) or HR (PHR/SPHR) is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
