Responsible for researching, designing, planning, developing, and evaluating research on new and emerging engineering designs, including
•Ensuring that research and design methodologies meet established scientific and engineering standards
•Measuring and analyzing the reliability of the design, materials, processes, cost, and final products of production
•Researching material and product quality to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
•Developing products to technical and functional requirements
•Making recommendations concerning acquisition and use of new technological equipment and materials
•May participate in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications
•Coordinating pilot-plant or initial production runs on new products or processes

 

Requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience and may require vocational or technical education. Responsibilities may include:
• Working under limited supervision for non-routine situations and may be responsible for leading daily operations.
• Training, delegating and reviewing the work of lower level employees.
• Problems are typically difficult and non-routine but not complex.

 

• Responsible for Measuring System Analyzing (MSA) for new test programs / methods to verify their capability
•  Create, review documentation and approves test specification documentation for new test programs / methods in Electronic Document Management System.
•  Develops fixtures for CMM testing and their implementation, when is required. Responsible for receiving new test program / methods and test specification to ensure their reliability and accuracy are correct. 
• Responsible for transfer new test program / methods and test specifications from R&D to Operation. 
•  Responsible for training and transfer of practical knowledge regarding measuring of our products. 
•  Keeps the CMM equipment in proper conditions when is used for R&D purposes. 
• Order all relevant materials and spare parts needed for testing

 

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or industrial area (or equivalent). Required

• Good organizational and planning skills. Required
•  Good understanding documentation control systems. Desired 
•  Act with a sense of urgency and take appropriate actions in conditions of uncertainty. Required. 
•  Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written). Required Good computer skills Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Required. 
•  Experience with measuring instruments. Required 
•  Good understanding of measurement principles and metrology tools. Required
•  Analytical thinking, problem solving skills. Required.
•  Knowledge of basic requirements of regulatory legislations and standards (ISO 13495 or similar). Desired. 
•  Min. 2 years of experience in the area (metrology and measurement related). Required
