The team leader will lead a team of collectors whose goal is to reduce receivable open balances and improve the payment behaviour of our customers, maintain a high level of customer experience, and contribute to the Cashflow target of our Group. He/She will be responsible for the motivation and development of the team, and supervision of his/her collectors to ensure superior collections and service skills. They are expected to maintain a positive culture in the department and drive employee engagement

 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver overdue and DSO results and targets
• Manage key stakeholder relationships
• To supervise and monitor the collections team and respective KPI’s
• Be proactive, autonomous and drive solutions when managing the respective challenges and the team
• Ensure the team is performing well, adhering to SLA’s and achieving the defined overdue and DSO targets
• To pro-actively manage customer accounts as required by the SLA’s and regarding cash flow problems or unresponsive customers
• To ensure root cause analysis is performed on recurrent customer payment issues
• To maintain and ensure team adherence of ConvaTec policies and procedures
• Identify process inefficiencies and drive improvements
• Actively engage with different stakeholders to improve internal processes
• To prepare trackers and assist with starting legal procedures within his/her team
• To set up and participate in review calls as needed
• To locate and monitor overdue accounts and proactively work with the collectors and the account to eliminate the overdue balance
• To update ConvaTec policies, SOPs and work instructions on a regular basis
• To develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with peers, customers and stakeholders
• Guide & coach team in BAU activities

Key Requirements

• >6 years experience in Order to Cash or relevant financial experience
• Minimum 2 years experience in people management
• Working knowledge of credit analysis
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook
• Working knowledge of SAP or PowerBI is an advantage
• Emagia/ AR tool knowledge (preferred)
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with ability to inspire others
• Mature attitude towards challenges and problem solving - being able to work without guidance, manage ambiguity and pressure effectively, cope well with setbacks
• Excellent Planning and Organization, anticipating and resolving potential issues in an effective and timely manner
• Very Good Communication and Customer “experience” skills
• Continuous improvement mindset

 

Qualifications/Education

• University Degree - Finance qualification preferred
• Previous experience working in a GBS environment a plus
