The Position: 

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer (Backend-Focused) with strong expertise in TypeScript and modern frameworks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable, high-performance web applications, with a deep understanding of backend technologies, cloud infrastructure, and testing best practices. The selected candidate shall work out of the Contour Software Karachi/Lahore/Islamabad office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the onshore R&D team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable applications using TypeScript (Node.js/NestJS/Socket.io). 

• Design event-driven systems backed by RabbitMQ/AMQP. 

• Design and implement efficient database schemas and queries using MongoDB and PostgreSQL. 

• Deploy and manage applications on AWS, with hands-on experience in EKS (Kubernetes) for containerized deployments. 

• Write comprehensive automated tests using Jest and Cypress to ensure code quality and reliability. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust and scalable solutions. 

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in coding, architecture, and CI/CD pipelines. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 5+ years working extensively with TypeScript. 

• Expertise in Node.js / NestJS and real-time communication using Socket.io. 

• Strong experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL database design and optimization. 

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, such as Jest and Cypress. 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development processes. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills, code quality focus, and ability to work independently. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems. 

• Knowledge of performance tuning and monitoring in cloud environments. 

• Experience with AWS services, especially EKS, for cloud-based deployments. 

• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes beyond EKS. 

• Experience using Go.
