Expected salary range of $152,100 to $169,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position

Assess the performance of line organizations to industry excellence, using the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) performance and objective criteria (PO&Cs) and management expectations as guidance. Manage the technical expertise of a team of professionals conducting assessment activities for functional areas (Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Plant Support). Development of assessment strategic plans, schedules, and conduct observations to determine gaps to excellence. Provide mentoring/coaching and assistance to line functions as conditions warrant up to and including temporary transition back to line functions providing additional capacity to functional areas. Communicate assessment results to line management and both verbally and in report which compel department improvement.

 

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Responsible and accountable for performing clean energy center (CEC) performance assessments and communicating the results such that performance weaknesses are recognized and communicated prior to experiencing a significant decline.
  • Responsible to be the assistant team lead for all FA led assessments with a focus on the Organization Effectiveness functional area.
  • Responsible for development of the formal report for all FA led assessments, which includes all functional areas of the report.
  • Manages the Resource Loading Tool to ensure One Team Oversight resources are available for all FA led assessments.
  • Perform Site Monitoring Lead duties as required to support fleet observations, key mtgs or assessments
  • Perform mentor role for the OR manager for all site led Self Assessments to assist in training them on OR tools and overall assessment functionality
  • Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 8 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
  • Current or previous Senior Reactor Operator license with 8 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
  • Associates degree in a technical discipline with 10 years of nuclear power plant experience OR
  • High school diploma/GED with 12 years of nuclear power plant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in functional area of assessment responsibility
  • Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a mid-level people manager
  • INPO experience
  • Organizational Effectiveness experience
  • Experience in multiple functional areas within nuclear power
