The Tax Director is a trusted advisor within Constant Contact, overseeing and providing guidance on the Company’s tax compliance, provisions, and strategy. The Tax Director role reports to the Company’s Vice President of Accounting and has a team of 2 tax analysts. 


What You’ll Do: 



  • Own global compliance, accounting, and internal controls for all of the Company’s taxes.

  • Global transfer pricing policy and compliance.

  • Lead long and short-term tax planning aligned with financial objectives.

  • Advise executive leadership on tax implications of strategic initiatives (e.g., M&A, transfer pricing, expansion).

  • Manage global tax audits and resolve disputes with tax authorities.

  • Monitor tax legislative changes and assess the impact on the business.

  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all federal, state, and international tax laws

  • Oversee preparation and filing of income tax returns, indirect taxes (sales/VAT/GST), and other statutory filings.

  • Manage and mentor the tax team, foster development of in-house tax expertise.

  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Legal, and HR to align tax with business operations and policies.

  • Liaise with external advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.

  • Lead tax diligence and structuring for mergers, acquisitions, and entity reorganizations.

  • Assess and mitigate tax risks related to business transactions.

  • Integrate tax operations post-acquisition

  • Maintain strong internal controls over tax processes.


Who You Are:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Tax with 10+ years of experience.

  • Expert knowledge on ASC – 740 (Income tax accounting).

  • Experience managing large, complex income tax provisions.

  • Experience managing global tax compliance (income, sales, VAT, property, and other).

  • Experience with tax forecasting 

  • Experience managing external auditors.

  • Analytical with strong project and time management skills.

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

  • Skilled in managing and optimizing effective relationships with multiple external organizations.

The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education and work location. In addition, some roles may be eligible for additional on target commission pay or bonus. The compensation package includes health and welfare benefits including paid leave.
