As Connect’s Dealflow Operations Analyst, you will support our partner-only investment team in sourcing and qualifying early stage startups. The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing automation into the sourcing process where relevant, sourcing market research, identification of potential deals and founders to our agreed investment criteria, increasing deal coverage at the top of Connect’s investment funnel, and ensuring effective tracking of all deal-related data.
What you'll do
- Build, optimise and own key parts of Connect’s dealflow engine.
- Develop, initiate and execute new desk-based sourcing strategies, which could be manual or automated, identifying best practices for refining the company’s lead generation and sourcing playbook.
- Conduct initial screening of outbound opportunities and inbound applications that fit Connect’s investment criteria.
- Generate leads at the top of Connect’s funnel, seeking out potential investments and producing lists of startups of interest to the rest of the team.
- Contribute to internal dealflow meetings on deal sourcing and key trends.
- Track metrics and produce sourcing analysis to enable Connect to understand deal coverage.
- Build relationships with peers in other funds for the purpose of deal sourcing.
