Role Summary

We are seeking a Korean Language Teacher to lead engaging Korean instruction for K–12 students in an after-school or enrichment setting. The instructor will deliver age-appropriate lessons in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and may incorporate cultural learning activities aligned to school expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Korean language lessons to K–12 students (group sizes typically up to ~20, site-dependent).
  • Plan and deliver structured, age-appropriate instruction (beginner-friendly and differentiation-ready).
  • Build a positive classroom culture that supports student participation and respectful communication.
  • Use clear routines, pacing, and checks for understanding to support varied learners.
  • Track basic attendance and session notes per program process.
  • Collaborate with Concorde Education staff and school-site contacts to align on expectations and logistics.
  • Curriculum & Instruction Expectations
  • Lessons should balance skill-building (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, conversation) with engaging practice.
  • Instruction should be culturally responsive and appropriate for K–12 settings.

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated proficiency in Korean (native or near-native proficiency strongly preferred).

Experience teaching or working with children and adolescents (K–12) in a classroom, tutoring, camp, or enrichment setting preferred.

Strong classroom presence, reliability, and professional judgment.

Comfort using basic classroom technology (Google Classroom tools, slides, basic learning platforms) as needed.

Ability to pass required background checks and meet school/district clearance requirements.

 

Salary: 55 - 105 USD Per hour
