Overview

As a Vice President of Compliance, you’ll help drive Concora Credit’s Mission to enable customers to Do More with Credit – every single day.

You'll be responsible for leading and overseeing the regulatory compliance program for the administration and servicing of private label and general purpose credit card programs, ensuring adherence to applicable federal and state laws. The role serves as a strategic advisor to the business, providing regulatory guidance, risk oversight, and leadership across products, operations, and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

As our Vice President of Compliance, you will:

  • Lead and manage a regulatory compliance team to execute regulatory compliance programs, including policy development, risk assessments, and reviews of products, servicing strategies, consumer communications, and marketing.
  • Engage with senior leadership and business lines to ensure compliance strategy is integrated into business planning and decision-making.
  • Interpret and advise on how to operationalize complex federal and state regulations to credit card products and servicing, and provide guidance to business partners on regulatory applicability and changes, ensuring compliant implementation.
  • Support and draft responses to regulatory examinations, audits, and other inquiries related to regulatory compliance.
  • Support responses and coordination of remediation plans when issues are identified.
  • Assess regulatory risk holistically, weighing competing considerations, and recommending solutions that are both compliant and commercially pragmatic.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Industry and Regulatory Expertise
    • Demonstrated experience in consumer financial services regulatory compliance, with a strong preference for experience supporting credit card and consumer loan programs, including operations, servicing, and marketing.
    • Preferred experience as a regulatory compliance attorney or in a legal-adjacent compliance role advising on consumer lending and credit card products.
    • Deep knowledge of U.S. consumer protection laws and regulations, including UDAAP, TILA/Regulation Z, ECOA/Regulation B, Regulation E, FDCPA, FCRA, BSA/AML.
  • Leadership and Management
    • Prior experience leading and developing teams of compliance professionals and collaborating cross-functionally.
    • Experience operating in a three-lines-of-defense compliance model, ideally in the second line.
    • Ability to lead with credibility and influence in senior-level discussions while maintaining strong working relationships across the organization
  • Analytical and Operational Skills
    • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while maintaining a clear understanding of internal risk appetite, operational complexity, and resource and level-of-effort considerations.
    • Sound judgment with a logical, structured approach to problem-solving, including the ability to identify what matters most and prioritize effectively.
    • Ability to “read the room” and tailor recommendations and messaging appropriately based on audience, risk tolerance, timing, and organizational context.
  • Communication and Influence
    • Exceptional written communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to draft clear, persuasive, and sophisticated work product suitable to executive leadership, regulators and other third parties.
    • Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex regulatory concepts succinctly and confidently to senior leaders and external stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to challenge business practices constructively, influence outcomes, and drive alignment.
  • Education and Certifications
    • Bachelor’s degrees required; advanced degree, such as a JD, strongly preferred.
    • At least 10+ years of progressive regulatory compliance experience in consumer financial services, including consumer lending and loan servicing.
