Job Summary
The Lead Logistics Analyst supports the Logistics Planning/BPL Manager and Planning team through reporting, analysis, testing, education, and documentation of processes for the four DSD Planning functional areas, Distribution, Vending, Merchandising and Sales Planning. Provides support and training to internal users and education to stakeholders, troubleshoots system issues and provides coverage for the daily execution of planning functions.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as solutions provider by analyzing and developing cross functional processes and methods to improve performance internally and externally.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assist in developing, testing, implementing and successfully executing projects that transform and continuously improve planning functions.
- Conduct assessments to understand current state execution of processes, identify gaps in execution, the cause of the gaps, input for corrective actions, and overall sustainability of the processes.
- Provide coverage to execute the strategic operational plans through daily tactical operations within DSD Planning across multiple functions, delivering positive business results.
- Collaborate internally and externally with field team leadership on education of planning processes and procedures.
- Look for ways to utilize technology to its fullest potential.
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of work experience required.
- Experience in logistics planning or analytical experience required.
- Experience preferred with systems including SAP, LEO, VendSmart, GreenMile, Forms.com, Merlin, and Microsoft Suite.
- Must have ability to manage tasks and timelines to support internal and external projects.
- Collaborative skill set and work well in a team.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication/ presentation skills with timely follow-up.
- Must have strong analytical skills and can work with mathematical concepts.
- 15% travel required within Heartland territory.
Pay: $56,170 - $66,702 a year
