Role Details

  • Work Location – Richmond Plant
  • Shift/Hours or Hybrid Environment – Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM 
  • The full base salary range for this position is from 79,200 - $88,000 annually. The starting base salary offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, role complexity, skills, experience, and internal equity.

About This Opportunity

The Inventory Control Distribution Supervisor manages the raw material inventory at the Richmond production site. Reporting to the warehouse manager, this position will be responsible for reconciling inventory reports within the SAP database, reviewing and reconciling all loads received at the site as well as overseeing raw material receiving at the Vancouver Distribution Centre. The inventory team will also plan and oversee the material transfers between the production site and the distribution centre to ensure production has what it needs to be successful. Overseeing delivery schedules, managing raw material holds and reporting on relevant financial results are also expected.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the control management of inventory processes.
  • Supervise inventory personnel - Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  • Supervise the daily inventory activities.
  • Managing the inventory storage levels and ensuring first in, first out is followed.
  • Posting inventory counts taken by team members.
  • Tracking raw material holds through the hold process from placing on hold to releasing, returning to supplier or destruction.
  • Carrying out raw material inventory level checks prior to production to ensure materials are on hand when required.
  • Support shipping and receiving functions as applicable.
  • Ensuring new, promotional and discontinued materials are effectively managed and accounted for financially.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Post secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • 1-3 years work experience.
  • Previous experience with inventory and/or warehouse administration is preferred, including inventory audits.
  • Previous experience leading or managing a team in a unionized environment an asset.
  • Strong computer database skills, including Word, Excel, and SAP database.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work in conjunction with production, finance, and other functional teams in a professional manner.
