We offer you a role of potential

Computershare is a global leader in transfer agency and share registration, employee equity plans, proxy solicitation, and other specialised financial, governance, and communication services. Joining our team as an Operations Administrator within the local Computershare Issuer Services division, you will be crucial in delivering exceptional customer service. This role demands successful delivery within strict guidelines, ensuring agreed timeframes and quality standards are consistently met. Furthermore, you will be expected to work collaboratively across departmental teams, actively supporting continuous improvement initiatives and relevant project-related activities to enhance our operations.

A role you will love

As an Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of process-driven client and office administration tasks to deliver a first-class service to our corporate clients and individual shareholders. This crucial role requires a high degree of quality, efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure all work is completed within agreed turnaround times. Your performance will be measured by meeting all quality and timeliness standards, and through valuable client and stakeholder feedback.

  • Core Administration: Execute client/shareholder-driven and office-related administrative tasks, including processing payments, managing internal and external communications to resolve queries, and accurately updating records.
  • Settlements and Share Capital: Process complex transactions such as removals, cross-border, and depository interest settlements, and facilitate the allotment or removal of shares to adjust a company's issued share capital.
  • Work Allocation: Monitor centralised inboxes and post, timely allocating work tasks to team members as directed by management.
  • Banking Operations: Manage the daily batching and releasing of all payments for the Jersey business, adhering to detailed processes and strict timelines to meet banking cut-off times.
  • System Maintenance & Risk: Maintain essential support systems and perform critical end-of-day risk checks to ensure all tasks have been accurately allocated and completed in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Service Delivery: Ensure all administration is carried out in line with detailed processes to consistently achieve all agreed service level agreements.
  • Performance Monitoring: Outcomes will be referenced against standards using monthly Management Information reports for SLAs and Signing Feedback reports for quality.

What will you bring to the role?

This is an entry-level position, and while previous business experience isn't essential—as you'll gain all the necessary functional knowledge through dedicated on-the-job training—you must be highly motivated and ready to learn. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to meet client service level agreements (SLAs), making your attention to detail and ability to coordinate and self-manage tasks crucial. You will be expected to resolve day-to-day problems by applying acquired training and following clear policy and procedure with management sign-off, contributing positively to the team's and department's effectiveness.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Organisation and Accuracy: The ability to be highly organised, manage multiple tasks, and consistently deliver work with accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Essential Education: Relevant Level 4 or above qualifications (equivalent to GCSEs in particular, including Maths and English).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively respond to client queries, ranging from basic to medium complexity.
  • Problem-Solving: The capacity to apply evaluative judgement and acquired training to identify and select solutions within defined procedures, seeking management authorisation where necessary.
  • Process Adherence: A strong ability to follow detailed operational and technical procedures, working reliably to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Team Support: A willingness to support and guide new starters at this level, potentially taking on a mentoring role as directed by the manager.
  • Technical Proficiency: Sound computer skills and the ability to adapt to and apply new technologies.
