Computershare has an excellent opportunity to join our ever-growing technology department as an NOC Analyst. This position sits within our Global Tech Support (GTS) department located in Edinburgh, who support our IT systems and employees across our global sites. Working in GTS gives you a great understanding of our wider business as you get to work with multiple different business lines and see the many different transactions and work that Computershare is involved in.

Maintaining optimal efficiency of our systems at a global scale plays a key part in ensuring Computershare continue to deliver the highest levels of service to our clients and employees around the world. 

A role you will love   

As a NOC Analyst, you’ll be part of a collaborative and skilled team responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of critical systems. You’ll monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts, and participate in incident resolution by escalating appropriately and working alongside the wider team to restore service.  

Key responsibilities include: 
•    Monitor overnight batch processes and respond to alerts.
•    Execute routine tasks using Linux command-line tools.
•    Use monitoring tools to track performance and detect issues in real time.
•    Respond to and escalate alerts and incidents as needed.
•    Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
•    Keep documentation and procedures up to date and clearly communicated.

The flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and bank holidays is a must for this position, along with a weekend shift rotation (2 in every 4 weekends). We will require you to work in the office Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm during your initial 4 week induction, your shift pattern will then resume thereafter.

Shift pattern will likely be either 4 or 5 on, 4 or 5 off, working a mixture of 12-hour day/night shifts (7am – 7pm & 7pm – 7am). 

What will you bring to the role 

As you can imagine, we need you to have great attention to detail. Supporting critical systems isn’t an easy job, so being able to think on your feet, problem solve and think outside the box are some key skills that you’ll need for this role.   

Communication is key; you need to be able to build effective working relationships, work closely with your team to keep up to date with changes and bring your ideas to the table.  

Key Skills Required: 

•    Experience in a technical environment such as NOC, IT support, or systems administration.
•    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on triage and first-time fix.
•    Familiarity with Linux systems and strong command-line skills. 
•    Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
•    Passion for learning, service improvement, and innovation.
