Summary:

 

The Software Test Engineer II plays a vital role in ensuring that high quality products are delivered on time, within budget and meetCompTIA standards. This work involves designing, developing, and maintaining automatedtesting frameworks and scripts for software applications and systems using a variety of testing tools and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have the ability toidentifyandlog product issues based on execution of test cases and industry standard testing methodologies. Additionally, STE II will design and create test cases to ensure complete coverage of test plans while also maintaining and updating automated test scripts to ensure they remain accurate, relevant,and effective.While having excellent automation skills, the candidate will have excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solvingskillsand willingness toparticipatein manual testing regularly. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for identifying and investigating issues found during testing, and updating test cases based on discovered defects
  • Works closely with software developers and software quality analysts to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing
  • Participate in project-wide reviews of requirements, system architecture, and detailed design documents
  • Define Test Strategy and End to End Scenarios
  • Understands key daily reporting elements needed for stakeholders and partners
  • Participate on continuous improvement efforts within the QA organization & Research and evaluate new testing technologies and tools
  • Other relevant tasks, duties, or special projects as assigned

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and emerging testing technologies
  • Communication of critical issues and status updates
  • The ability to identify and log product issues
  • The ability to create and maintain automated test scripts
  • The ability to create, update and execute test cases
  • The ability to maintain work flow velocities and meet deadlines

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Moderate experience in software development processes and QA methodologies
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in industry standard test management tools
  • Experience testing in an Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Moderate experience developing automation scripts using Playwright, TypeScript, TestNG or equivalent tools and technologies.

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

  • Degree preferred but not required for the role
  • 4+ years of direct experience in related field
