POSITION SUMMARY 


The ideal candidate would be responsible for oversight of all assigned PRA area personnel and includes planning, directing, and controlling of parts through the facility, along with being responsible for all other duties required of a Planner. Ensuring the right parts are marshalled and ready for assembly on time. The candidate would be a person that leads, trains, develops and improves overall team performance.

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES

Ø Manages time-off requests, performance management, daily operational priority setting and ensuring team members are following all company policy and procedures. 

Ø Sets daily work requirements for the Production Control team.

Ø Ensures all PRA Personnel receives the necessary on the job training to perform satisfactorily and develops personnel for future growth opportunities.

Ø Ensure materials needed for targeted build dates are ready, on-time or earlier than expected.

Ø Ensure all material for build-up is delivered to the proper shop to meet the target date. 

Ø Establish departmental priorities and develop the plans to meet those goals.

Ø Orders non-conforming material, expendables as well as arranging for the exchange of rotable parts that might delay the parts ready date (PRD)

Ø Ensures material meets configuration requirements per the engine work scope.

Ø Ensures correct and timely BOM Management. This includes proper system exchanges, reservations and cleanup of BOM after issuance.

Ø Support and implement any necessary BOM Management improvements from Quantum implementation team.

Ø Leads and supports continuous improvement activities that are required in order to improve overall team performance.


ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:  

High School diploma or equivalent required


Experience: 

Production  Control Planner and MRO experience required – 3-5 years.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ø Proven leadership abilities

Ø Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office

Ø Advanced knowledge of Aircraft Engine Maintenance (CF6 and/or PW2000 experience preferred)

Ø Proven ability to use the engine manual, illustrated parts catalog and Service Bulletins and teach team members on the use of these reference materials

Ø Proven excellent follow-up and organizational skills 

Ø Quantum experience required

Ø Proven verbal and written communication skills

Ø A&P license and previous Production Control experience in MRO preferred

Ø Proven ability to handle deadlines and work well under pressure


Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements

Ø Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.

Ø Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required

Ø Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
