Reporting into our data organization, this role focuses on developing reliable data pipelines, maintaining high-quality data models, and ensuring teams across the company can confidently use data to do their best work. This role will work closely with marketing analysts to enable scalable, trusted analyses by translating analytical requirements into well-modeled datasets, standardized metrics, and performant transformations</p> <p>You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining ETL pipelines, managing our Snowflake data warehouse, modeling data with dbt, and supporting event tracking and analytics tooling. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building clean, well-documented data systems, cares deeply about data quality, and thrives at the intersection of technical problem-solving and business impact.</p> <p><strong>Location:</strong> Candidates must permanently and currently reside in the United States. Employees are not required to work in the office or relocate to Lincoln, Nebraska for this opportunity. Employees are encouraged to come hang at headquarters for up to 10 days per calendar year on CompanyCam’s dime.</p> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using tools like <strong>Fivetran, Stitch, and Portable</strong></li> <li>Manage and optimize our <strong>Snowflake</strong> data warehouse to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability</li> <li>Use <strong>dbt</strong> to transform, test, document, and schedule analytics data models</li> <li>Create and maintain analytics-ready data models that support reporting and decision-making</li> <li>Implement and maintain <strong>event tracking with Snowplow</strong> to ensure accurate and trustworthy data collection</li> <li>Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to understand data needs and deliver practical solutions</li> <li>Monitor and ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and data sources</li> <li>Identify opportunities to improve, automate, and scale existing data processes</li> <li>Stay up to date on modern analytics engineering tools, trends, and best practices</li> </ul> <h2>The Impact You’ll Have</h2> <p><em><strong>At CompanyCam, your work makes a real impact.</strong> Whether you're writing code, supporting customers, or designing experiences, your contributions directly shape the product we deliver and the people we serve. We're building something that helps real people solve real problems—and we believe that kind of work is best done by a team that reflects the world around us. <strong>In this role, you’ll drive impact by:</strong></em></p> <ul> <li>Enabling teams across the company to make better, faster, data-informed decisions</li> <li>Improving trust in data through reliable pipelines, testing, and documentation</li> <li>Supporting product and business insights with high-quality analytics models</li> <li>Helping scale CompanyCam’s analytics capabilities as the company grows</li> </ul> <h2>What You’ll Bring</h2> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in <strong>analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related role</strong></li> <li>Strong experience with modern ETL tools such as <strong>Fivetran, Stitch, Portable</strong>, or similar</li> <li>Hands-on experience with <strong>Snowflake</strong> or another cloud-based data warehouse</li> <li>Proficiency using <strong>dbt</strong> for data transformation and orchestration</li> <li>Strong <strong>SQL</strong> skills and experience supporting BI tools like <strong>Metabase</strong> or similar</li> <li>Experience working with <strong>event tracking systems</strong> such as Snowplow</li> <li>Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to translate business requirements into clear, maintainable data models</li> <li>Clear written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional partners</li> <li>A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with a passion for data quality and continuous improvement</li> </ul> <hr> <h3>Nice to Have</h3> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>Python</strong> or another scripting language</li> <li>Experience supporting analytics for product-led or SaaS organizations</li> <li>Experience supporting analytics for marketing teams</li> <li>Familiarity with scaling data platforms and evolving analytics maturity</li> </ul> <h2>Benefits &amp; Compensation</h2> <p>This is a salaried position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is <strong>$120,000-$130,000</strong> per year and is based on experience.
