Payroll & Tax Specialist - Remote |
Employment Type: Full Time EEOC Classification: Exempt Reports to: Payroll Manager
SUMMARY Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Associate acts as liaison between location managers and the payroll processing department. Performs payroll related tasks and provides support for multi-state payroll, consisting of 3500+ employees. Ensures timely payroll processing and adherence to company policies and procedures. The specialist maintains records in ADP’s Workforce Now payroll system, verifies payroll entries, performs calculations, and collects data for electronic storage. Requires an understanding of tax calculations, pro-rata salaries, garnishments, and commissions. Performs various reconciliations. Responsible for analyzing data, creating and maintaining spreadsheets, and provides audit support. Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience, 2-4 years payroll tax experience, in-depth understanding of payroll procedures and practices, payroll laws, and payroll tax, and prior history of working with ADP’s Workforce Now platform. Excellent oral and written skills required. |
