SCOPE OF WORK:
This position is responsible to assist in routine preventive maintenance, Janitorial services, sanitation and to
ensure that the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Assist Facilities Director as needed with items as follows but not limited to:
• Standard upkeep of CSET's Visalia Navigation Center including but not limited to, changing indoor and
outdoor lights, pressure washing sidewalks and building walls. Replacing door knobs and installation of
paper towels holders, soap dispensers and like items.
• Assists in maintaining a professional and safe work environment.
• Coordinates the receipt and disposal of equipment in order to maximize utilization of equipment.
• Performs other duties including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance
policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.
• Respond to and complete requests for service from staff for all related items.
• Respond to calls, emails and other various forms of communication in a timely manner.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Ability to work independently as well as with others.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to uphold company principles and practices to the highest degree and represent the agency in a
professional manner.
• Ability to interpret the application of policies, procedures and standards to specific situations.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws,
drills, and wrenches.
• Ability to explain, demonstrate and clarify to others, the understanding of the well-established principles,
practices, policies and procedures
• Ability to perform Custodial / Janitorial duties safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform building maintenance duties safely and efficiently.

occasionally required to smell.
• The employee must occasionally lift 50-80 pounds and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts
on in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions,
fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment could be moderate to loud.
