Job Summary

The Systems Administrator supports, maintains, and administers enterprise systems, infrastructure, and application environments. This role is responsible for responding to system-related incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing effective solutions. The Systems Administrator ensures that systems are functioning efficiently and securely while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support technology operations across the organization.

Essential Functions
  • Supports and maintains enterprise systems, servers, applications, and related infrastructure.
  • Responds to hardware, software, and network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Performs system monitoring, maintenance, and patching to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
  • Participates in the on-call rotation to provide after-hours technical support as needed.
  • Promotes system security, user access controls, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborates with IT teams and business stakeholders to evaluate and implement technical solutions.
  • Assists in the deployment and configuration of new systems and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
  • Follows change management protocols and participates in testing and validation processes.
  • Identifies and shares best practices with peers and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • H.S. Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in systems administration required
  • Experience supporting a mid to large-size enterprise environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server administration.
  • Strong understanding of system security, backup, and recovery procedures.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking concepts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Relevant certification in systems administration, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Server+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) preferred
  • Security or access management certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Security certification preferred
