Make a Difference

As part of a self-directed site support team, The Desktop Support Technician will perform level 2 troubleshooting functions for help desk issues involving IT equipment on the customer’s desktop.  You will ensure the assistance is prompt, friendly and effective.  You will perform principal support functions to customers for Microsoft Office products and network-based applications such as email, calendar, groupware, electronic forms, etc. This position performs analysis and implementation of microcomputer-related projects and micro-computer portions of larger projects.

 

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. 
 

  • Associate degree in information technology preferred.
  • Associate degree with three (3) years in customer service strongly preferred or two (2) years’ experience with technology hardware, software, and/or support and training position with High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of technology and software in use at Community Health Network is preferred.
  • Understanding of how devices participate in a network.
  • This position will participate in an on-call rotation amongst the team.
  • This position will require support of any Community Health Network site of care within the major support region and will require local travel.
