The Facilities Management Assistant will perform job requirements in a dependable, responsible, and positive manner, consistent with all state and federal guidelines.
Essential Functions:
- Receive and deliver all mail and packages to and from US Postal Service locations, UPS, Federal Express, and other facilities, as needed.
- Sort and deliver incoming, outgoing and interdepartmental mail.
- Process all classes of mail to ensure adherence to proper size, weight, packaging, postage and other postal requirements.
- Prepare and process necessary paperwork related to mail services.
- Operate postage meter, photocopiers, fax machines and routine office equipment. Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Distribute supplies to staff as needed.
- Perform facility maintenance functions such as transportation of office equipment, assembly and moving of furniture between rooms, hanging pictures and bulletin boards, and changing fluorescent ceiling lightbulbs as needed.
- Maintain water coolers and supplies.
- Supply copy paper to all departments.
- Serve as a Fire Captain in cases of emergency building evacuations.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance as required
- Other Duties As Assigned.

Education: High school diploma/GED required
- Relevant Work Experience: No experience in a corporate environment mailroom required, but a minimum of 1 year of work experience is preferred.
