What You Will Do as a Home Health Aide (STNA)

As a Home Health Aide (STNA), you will be responsible for observing patients, reporting/documenting these observations and care performed. Some of your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care to patients including, bathing, changing bed linens, assisting with dressing, etc.
- Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding
- Taking vitals such as, temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care
- Performing range of motion and other simple procedures as needed
- Assisting patients in the self-administration of medications
- Reporting on patients’ conditions and significant changes to the RN

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements
- Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws
- Must have a valid STNA license in the state of Ohio
- 18 years of age or older
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision
- Active CPR certification

What you'll do
