Where would you fit?  

This is a critical role within the x15 Portfolio team responsible for finding and investing in opportunities, then backing our Ventures to scale with CommBank strategic partnership leverage. 

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who thrives in ambiguity, solves complex problems through design, and can own the product experience end to end. This is a high-impact role where you’ll drive both UX and UI, contribute to business outcomes, and shape product direction with strategic thinking and scale in mind. 

You’ll collaborate across teams to ideate, validate, and build intuitive solutions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.

Key responsibilities:  

• Design world class human centered design experiences for a variety of new proof of concepts and x15 Ventures covering digital assets and products 
• Lead end-to-end product design from discovery and ideation to final UI. 
• Conduct user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. 
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define and deliver thoughtful, scalable experiences. 
• Think holistically across journeys, identifying key touchpoints and user needs. 
• Design solutions that contribute to measurable business outcomes. 
• Apply strong UX and UI design skills, with the ability to move seamlessly between them. 
• Proactively think through liability, risk, and operational impact of design decisions. 
• Participate in product strategy, with a lens on scale, system thinking, and long-term growth. 
• Evolve and maintain our design system to ensure consistency and accessibility. 

Your skills and experience  

• 5+ years of proven experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating UI and UX work end to end. 
• Strong ideation and discovery skills — you love digging into problems and shaping clear, actionable paths forward. 
• Expertise in crafting wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch)  
• Proficiency in interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing methodologies  
• Ability to think beyond pixels — you understand business priorities, user psychology, and tech constraints. 
• Passion for staying ahead of design trends, technologies, and best practices in the fintech industry  
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment. 
• Experience in cross-platform (web/mobile) design. 
• Bachelor or master’s in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field  

Nice to have 

• Familiarity with front-end development and how designs come to life in code. 
• Experience with B2B SaaS, fintech, or marketplaces. 
• Previous work on products at scale or with complex systems.
