Job Summary

Responsible for directing the broadcast operations activities. Provides support to produce and distribute Network television programming. Supports Network editorial and programming department heads by delivering high quality television production in the most cost-effective and time-efficient manner possible. Provides leadership and direction for a team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Directs broadcast systems, equipment procurement and maintenance consistent with applicable policies and procedures within all areas of Broadcast Operations.
  • Maximizes use of existing broadcast operations capacities and identify opportunities for expanded production capacity.
  • Creates and manages internal and external relationships to support broadcast operations, both onsite and remotely.
  • Develops and enforces standard operating procedures for the range of production and broadcast operations.
  • Leads development and execution of financial plans and provides timely information to identify resource requirements across the Department.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
