About this role

About the Role:

Successful candidate will provide middle office support to DCM programs, work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors as well as problem solving skills, and exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

  • Responsible for administration within the Debt Capital Markets Department.
  • Responsibilities include Customer Level Interest Rate Hedging program, the Syndications program, and the asset sales program.
  • Type of work includes but is not limited to documentation, closing, file maintenance, and data input.
  • Works specifically on swap transactions, syndicated loans, agency services, asset sales. Type of work includes but is not limited
  • to data analysis, and coordination of sales process.
  • Acts as a liaison with customers, attorneys, loan administration, accounting, Commercial Loan Administrators, and Relationship
  • Managers, during all phases of Debt Capital Markets transactions.
  • Maintains files with sufficient documentation for third-party review, prepares files for timely audits.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities –
  • knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation
  • E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Columbia corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent experience. (Required)
  • 2-4 of relevant loan administration and/or capital markets experience or equivalent work experience. (Required)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent loan administration experience with knowledge of commercial and industrial as well as commercial real estate lending.
  • Strong familiarity with commercial finance, documentation, accounting and data systems.
  • Ability to administer a complex commercial loan/DCM portfolio.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer
  • relationships.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and other business machines.
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences or has the interest in learning to train and present.

The pay range for this role is $82,000.00 to $119,000.00.

The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
