The Sociology Department hires non-tenure track, temporary, part-time instructors, from an applicant pool for fall, spring, and/or summer terms to teach courses such as introductory sociology, criminology, ethnicity, theory and research methods. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date. The Department of Sociology will not sponsor a Visa for these positions.

A bachelor’s degree
A master’s degree in Sociology, Criminology, or related field
U.S. work authorization
A Ph.D. in Sociology or related field, is preferred.
Experience teaching courses in Sociology or Criminology.
Demonstrated commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching the area of Sociology or Criminology.
