Job Description

Position Summary:

The School of Education seeks applications between January 1, 2026 – June 30, 2026, from individuals who are interested in securing temporary instructor positions within the Higher Education Leadership program for the 2025 – 2026 academic year.

Instructors teach hybrid courses (using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies) in areas of their expertise and are hired periodically for fall, spring, and/or summer term, contingent upon enrollments and need. Reappointment may depend upon performance and the availability of funding.

Full Consideration Date:

To ensure full consideration, applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. (MT) on June 30, 2026.

Compensation:

$1,666.67 per credit hour instruction

$50,000 base salary

Conditions of Employment:

Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires)

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate in higher education leadership or a related field

  • Demonstrated excellence and experience as a higher education leadership scholar/practitioner/administrator

  • Experience teaching in organizational theory, higher education finance, or related areas

  • At least three years of professional work experience in a higher education setting

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in teaching using video conferencing and synchronous learning technologies

  • Experience with mentoring and advising graduate student scholar practitioners

  • Record of scholarship and publication in higher education leadership or a related field commensurate with a research university

Salary Range

$48,000 to $50,000
