Residential Dining Services at Colorado State University is seeking applications for one Lead Dining Custodian and four Dining Custodians to support daily operations.
The Lead Dining Custodian ensures a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and the University community by performing cleaning duties in the kitchen and service facilities, while providing exemplary customer service. The position will direct and train hourly employees on daily custodial tasks and indirectly supervise Dining Custodians to ensure the highest level of cleanliness is always maintained.

Housing & Dining Services (HDS) is one of the largest departments on campus and is responsible for the management, finance, administration, and program development of all University housing facilities, including residence halls, university apartments, and Mountain Campus.
Pre-employment Criminal Background Check (required for new hires)
Pre-employment Physical: Successfully complete the WorkSTEPS evaluation.
Essential Services Designation - Required to report without delay or interruption to provide essential or emergency services to ensure health, safety, and welfare.
Shift Work This position maybe required to work extended shift hours and/or a modified swing shift to meet departmental staffing requirements.
Lead Dining Custodian: Indirectly supervises up to 10 hourly employees, including student and non-student staff, and 4 full-time Dining Custodians.
Dining Custodian: Indirectly supervises Temporary Hourly Employees and Student Employees in a defined work area.
Lead Dining Custodian
Minimum Qualifications: One (1) year of experience in a position that performs custodial duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years+ experience in a position performing custodial duties.
One (1) year+ experience in a supervisory role.
One (1) year+ experience in a foodservice or retail operation(s).
Experience directing and training staff on custodial duties.
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple activities and tasks with competing priorities.
Dining Custodian
Minimum Qualifications: Six (6) months of experience in a position that performs custodial duties.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year+ experience in a position performing custodial duties.
Six (6) months+ experience in a foodservice or retail operation(s).
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple activities and tasks with competing priorities.
Demonstrated interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary for building and maintaining successful work relationships.
Exemplary customer service skills.
