What makes this role exciting is the exposure to senior leadership across Coles and the opportunity to deliver high-profile insights that directly support executive decision making, board reporting and group strategy, alongside working on bespoke strategic projects throughout the year.
You’ll work across multiple data sources, triangulating insights from market share, customer transactions, research and customer experience to build a clear picture of Coles’ performance and trends.

You will analyse customer and market data to generate clear, actionable insights that support customer-led and commercial decisions across the business.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across commercial, marketing, operations and finance, translating complex data into simple stories that inform performance discussions and strategic direction.
• Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly market share and performance reporting
• Analyse customer transaction data to identify trends, opportunities and risks
• Triangulate insights across multiple data sources to tell the full story
• Support reporting for executive forums and strategy packs with insights and commentary
• Partner with business units to assess category and market performance
• Contribute to ad hoc and strategic deep-dive projects across the year
You’re curious, proactive and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in understanding customers and markets and translating data into practical business insight.
You demonstrate strong analytical capability with 3+ years hands-on experience in insights/ marketing analytics/ customer data analytics/ operations, with a focus on analysing customer metrics and/or market share data.
• Strong analytical skills across quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to synthesise insights from multiple data sources
• Clear storytelling skills for non-technical audiences
• Strong attention to detail and time management in a fast-paced environment
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills, with Power BI or Tableau experience desirable but not essential.
