About the team

 

Our Technology team is the backbone of the business, building and maintaining the information technology infrastructure that support Coles Group. As a part of the Technology team, you get the opportunity to work through complex, challenging, meaningful problems using large data sets and new technologies to expand your skills and experience.

 

 

About the role

 

Our Coles 360, Loyalty and Customer team is looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help drive our .NET squad. You’ll provide leadership, coaching, support and act as an enabler to your team. You’ll help deliver and execute whilst bringing a ‘you build it, you own it’ mentality. 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Mentor, motivate and support engineers within your squad
  • Cntribute to the roadmap and technical direction of the product
  • Act as a service custodian of the solutions.
  • Unblock the team and enable them to deliver product initiatives
  • Own and take accountability for the services within your squads
  • You will be hands-on and contribute to the codebase when required
  • Engage and work with other stakeholders in Coles to achieve outcomes 
     

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in product development teams
  • Experience with .NET or similar technologies
  • Experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience with Eventing systems and Kubernetes
  • Experience in working with large complex and high traffic environments
  • Experience to coach squads using agile methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Tertiary qualifications in a technology engineering discipline such as computer science, information systems engineering, etc.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Market knowledge and experience of delivery and management of technology solutions
