JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to support and strengthen our procurement function at the Järfälla site. This role plays a key part in driving strategic sourcing, supplier development, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation in close collaboration with Buyers, the Procurement Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders across the business.
The Strategic Buyer operates at an advisory level — supporting category strategy, supplier negotiations, long-term agreements, and improvement initiatives — while acting as a trusted escalation point for complex supplier and commercial matters.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Development
- Support the Procurement Manager in developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies for priority categories.
- Prepare decision-making material including TCO models, market analyses, and commercial recommendations.
- Contribute to procurement projects, process improvements, and standards across the function.
- Represent Procurement in cross-functional and cross-site forums.
Category Management & supplier strategy
- Support category and supplier strategies aligned to global and local objectives.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers based on technology, cost, quality, and risk.
- Lead strategic negotiations and drive long-term improvements in cost, delivery, and performance.
- Conduct spends, market, and supplier analyses to support long-term planning.
Supplier Development, Contracts & Risk
- Support the development and negotiation of supply and long-term collaboration agreements.
- Ensure agreements align with objectives relating to cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
- Lead QBRs and drive supplier improvement initiatives.
- Identify supply chain risks, monitor market trends, and support mitigation actions.
Support to Buyers & Operational Continuity
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex supplier, commercial, and negotiation matters.
- Provide guidance to Buyers on supplier management, negotiations, and procurement policies.
- Support workload prioritisation during capacity or delivery constraints.
ABOUT YOU
- 10 years’ experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a high-tech or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, and complex supplier relationships.
- Proven analytical capability, including TCO modelling, cost analysis, and market benchmarking.
- Experience driving supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- University degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- Strong systems proficiency, ideally Oracle and/or SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Languages: Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
