Primary Duties & Responsibilities

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

• Work on engineering project to develop new product by steady stage 1D, drawing package drafting, supplier and customer communication, prototype building, product testing, and engineering documents 
• Follow up and coordinate with team to performance the project plan as defined. 
• Work with application engineer to develop ICD/ Data sheet for customer. 
• Work with process engineer and supplier to develop assembly drawing, BOM, assembly procedure, PFD, PCP, FMEA, tooling, packaging, component drawings. 
• Collect lessons learned and propose change to design guidelines and templates 
• Organize the meeting to review the new product: drawing review (hi-level), tooling, test plan, part status, confirm make/ buy, 01's and 03'… 
• Release document of new product into Agile, make sure the part(s) is set up on Glovia. Enter new product to engineering data base. 
• Follow up the qualification test. Coordinate with production and LAB to performance the qualification test and summary the test result 
• Review data and lead the meeting for PPR/ RTP. Update documents as review, change life cycle, identify effect to inventory.

ENGINEERING

• Identify fixture, tooling, packaging for new project. Designed, verified and documented with work instructions. 
• Collect the error of document system and propose change. Support to solve the error.  
• Solve issues relates to design things (change component, qualify new supplier,…). Organize the meeting to review and follow up the plan. If qual are requested, coordinate with production and LAB to performance the qualification test, write test report. Work with sale/accounting to get customer approval and submit DEV/WAI/ ECO for the change.

REPORT AND DOCUMENTATION

• Overall internal / external customer requirements are met with regard to quality and on-time delivery.
• Corporate record retention procedures and practices are in conformance 
• Established processes are documented. 
• Department processes are ISO9001 compliant.

OTHERS

• Support special projects as required 
• 5S is maintained across the organization. All safety and environmental requirements are followed.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent specialization.

Skills & Abilities

• 3+ years’ experience in design modelling and assembly techniques 
• Experience with product design per ISO 9001
• Knowledge of process design per IATF 16949 
• CAD & CAE software: Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of thermal dynamic, material science, local supplier-capabilities 
• Experience with QA-tools (SPC, FMEA, Problem Solving, PVC,...) 
• Experience with documentation and ERP system (engineering change request, waiver/ deviation,...)
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Email.
• Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. 
• Knowledge of all manufacturing processes in Vietnam. 
• Capability to successfully work with employees in a multi-cultural, global team environment 
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and issues involving external and internal priorities 
• Good interpersonal, communication skills, participates in meetings, expresses opinions, offers ideas and listens effectively
• Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism
