Lead DevOps Engineer

<p><strong>Opportunity Overview:</strong></p> <p>The Lead DevOps Engineer will work closely with Cohere engineers to plan, deploy, and support high-availability solutions. The successful candidate will implement and manage tools supporting Cohere’s engineering teams and infrastructure, coach junior engineers on DevOps best practices and tools. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring Cohere maintains a disciplined approach to healthcare security. The candidate should have proven experience across a range of DevOps capabilities such as log aggregation, CI/CD, Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes, as well as experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, management, and automation technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, and Puppet. Finally, the candidate should be passionate about building quality products, have strong technical skills in areas of Linux system administration, networking, and application deployment/maintenance, and be experienced with at least one scripting language and monitoring systems.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with Cohere engineers to plan, deploy, and support high-availability solutions</li> <li>Implement and manage tools supporting Cohere’s engineering teams and infrastructure including monitoring and alerting, CI/CD,&nbsp; and version control</li> <li>Automate the compilation, testing, packaging, and release of Cohere’s software platform</li> <li>Coach Cohere engineers on devops best practices and tools</li> <li>Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies or services to maximize development efficiency</li> <li>Actively participate in ensuring Cohere maintains a disciplined approach to healthcare security</li> <li>Work with management to create and drive the DevOps roadmap</li> <li>Partner with management on cloud infrastructure cost optimization</li> <li>Run quarterly Disaster Recovery exercise</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure management</li> <li>Experience designing and managing highly scalable production infrastructure in a highly regulated environment</li> <li>Experience advocating for modern infrastructure management and are compelled to automate early and often</li> <li>Experience across a range of DevOps capabilities such as log aggregation, CI/CD, Linux, Docker and Kubernetes</li> <li>Experience developing and managing continuous integration / continuous deployment pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Github Actions</li> <li>Hands on cloud platform experience with a strong preference for AWS</li> <li>Experience with cloud infrastructure provisioning, management and automation technologies (Terraform, Cloudformation, Chef, Puppet, etc)</li> <li>Strong technical skills in areas of Linux system administration, networking, and application deployment/maintenance</li> <li>Experience with at least one scripting language (shell, Ruby, Python, Perl, Go, etc)</li> <li>Database administration experience with at least one of the database paradigms.</li> <li>Experience with monitoring systems</li> </ul> <p><strong>Ability to commute/relocate:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Nacharam, Hyderabad, Telangana*: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)<br>*<em>we will be opening a new office in the HITEC City area in early 2026</em></li> </ul> <p><strong>Interview Process*:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Connect with Talent Acquisition&nbsp;</li> <li>Meet with the Hiring Manager</li> <li>Behavioral Interview(s)</li> <li>Live Design or Coding Session&nbsp;</li> <li>Interview with Senior Leadership</li> </ol> <p>*Subject to change</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About Cohere Health:</strong></p> <p>Cohere Health’s clinical intelligence platform delivers AI-powered solutions that streamline access to quality care by improving payer-provider collaboration, cost containment, and healthcare economics.
