About the role:
As a Senior Developer (ReactJS, .NET, SQL) you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions. You will drive technical excellence by building intuitive user interfaces, robust backend services, and seamless integrations that empower manufacturing and engineering applications. This role requires strong expertise across frontend and backend technologies, with a focus on performance, reliability, and innovation.
In this role, you will:
· Develop responsive, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using ReactJS, Redux, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks.
· Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services with .NET Core / C#.
· Collaborate with UX teams to deliver pixel-perfect, high-performance screens.
· Optimize SQL/NoSQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval.
· Conduct coding, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and deployment activities.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
· Partner with cross-functional teams and project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
· Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative practices into projects.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Santa Clara, CA.
What you need to have to be considered:
· 8+ years of experience in software development.
· Strong proficiency in ReactJS (Hooks, Context, Redux) and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
· Expertise in .NET Core / C# with object-oriented programming principles.
· Solid experience building microservices, REST APIs, and modular backend architectures.
· Strong database skills (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
· Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and UI frameworks (Material UI, AntD, or similar).
These will help you stand out:
· Hands-on experience with workflow automation, equipment control, or data visualization systems.
· Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
· Strong collaboration skills and a track record of mentoring team members.
· Familiarity with best practices in software development, compliance, and documentation.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $100,000 - $116,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
