About the role

As a Senior Data Architect – DBT & SQL, you will make an impact by leverage your expertise in DBT Cloud SQL Performance tuning and Data Transformation. You will be a valued member of the HealthCare team and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance data compliance and transform scripting processes, impacting company growth and societal advancement.

In this role, you will:

·       Design and implement scalable data architectures aligned with business goals.

·       Optimize SQL queries and data workflows for high performance and efficiency.

·       Leverage DBT Cloud and DBT Macros to streamline transformations and automate tasks.

·       Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to integrate diverse data sources and ensure integrity.

·       Monitor, govern, and continuously improve data processes, providing guidance and mentorship to the team.

Work model:

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Oakland - CA. What you need to have to be considered:

·       Extensive experience with DBT Cloud for data transformation and workflow optimization.

·       Strong SQL performance tuning skills to ensure efficient query execution.

·       Expertise in DBT Macros to automate and enhance data processing tasks.

·       Proficiency in data transformation and integration techniques for seamless, accurate data flow.

·       Analytical and problem-solving abilities to deliver effective, reliable data solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 - $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
