Job Summary
The Portfolio Delivery Lead will oversee the successful execution of project and portfolio management initiatives within the organization. With a focus on optimizing processes and driving strategic outcomes this role requires extensive experience in project management and portfolio management. The candidate will work in a hybrid model ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of portfolio management strategies to align with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee project management processes to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement best practices for portfolio management enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives with business needs.
- Utilize advanced project management tools and techniques to optimize resource allocation and project scheduling.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and portfolio management processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations maintaining the highest level of quality and integrity.
- Facilitate communication and coordination among cross-functional teams promoting transparency and accountability.
- Analyze data and metrics to assess project outcomes and inform decision-making processes.
- Manage risks and issues proactively developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project delivery.
- Support the development of project management skills within the team fostering professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and portfolio management with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Extensive experience in life and annuities insurance domain is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model balancing remote and in-office collaboration.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools with a focus on optimizing processes and outcomes.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development staying abreast of industry trends and advancements.
Certifications Required
PMP Certification is mandatory PMI Portfolio Management Professional is highly desirable.
Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until Feb 15, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $215,000 - $225,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
