Role: Network Engineer

Location: Cambridge, MA

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer, with a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience to join our team in Cambridge, MA. This role requires full-time onsite presence and hands-on support for datacenter operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain enterprise network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, firewall).
• Provide operational support for datacenter networking equipment and services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance using advanced tools.
• Collaborate with various teams (Security, Audio Video, LAB, etc.) on-site to fix issues
• Maintain documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.
• Experience in working lab is added advantage

Skills & Technologies
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following:
• Network Routing & Switching (enterprise-grade)
• Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Cisco FTD, Meraki MX
• Cisco Umbrella (cloud security platform)
• Plixer (network traffic analysis & monitoring)
• Cisco ISE (Identity Services Engine)
• Cisco Meraki (cloud-managed networking)
• Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, IPAM solutions)
• Access Points & Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC)
• 7signal (Wi-Fi performance monitoring)

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 to $90,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
