Cognizant is seeking a highly qualified Engineering Manager with 10–11 years of experience delivering high‑performing, scalable, enterprise software solutions. You will lead a digital engineering team responsible for high‑demand applications that power critical business functions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, enterprise software solutions using Spring Boot and Microservices.
• Oversee integration of REST Web Services to ensure smooth communication across distributed systems.
• Provide strong technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, delivery timelines, and success criteria.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle—from planning and architecture to development, testing, and deployment.
• Implement engineering best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of PL/SQL database components and Core Java applications.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing team productivity and workflow efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends, identifying opportunities for innovation—particularly within the Cards & Payments domain.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration within the engineering group and across departments.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical challenges that impact system performance or user experience.
• Support a hybrid work environment using collaboration tools and modern development practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10- 11 years of experience with proven success in leading engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Core Java.
• Proficiency in designing and integrating REST Web Services.
• Hands-on experience working with PL/SQL and database-driven applications.
• Experience managing end‑to‑end software delivery in an Agile environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
• Ability to guide teams through complex technical decisions and mentor engineers at all levels.
• Strong commitment to continuous learning and staying current with technology trends.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Domain knowledge in Cards & Payments.
• Experience working on application modernization and upgrade initiatives.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and compliance frameworks.
