Our goal is to deliver working software every two weeks. We are a large team that spans across three global offices, but we collaborate and integrate front- and back-end components and interfaces to provide a user-centered experience through web and mobile platforms.</p> <p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain high-quality web applications using React.js and Next.js.</li> <li>Work within and contribute to monorepo architectures (Nx, Turborepo, etc.).</li> <li>Integrate and manage content through Headless CMS platforms such as Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, or Contentstack.</li> <li>Convert UI/UX designs and prototypes into pixel-perfect user interfaces.</li> <li>Build interactive UI experiences with animations and micro-interactions.</li> <li>Implement and maintain unit and component testing using Jest, React Testing Library, etc.</li> <li>Optimize applications for performance, SEO, accessibility, and security.</li> <li>Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and guide architectural decisions.</li> <li>Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, backend, and cloud teams.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need to be successful (Requirements)</strong></p> <p><strong>Must have skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of frontend development experience with a strong focus on React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.</li> <li>Deep hands-on experience with Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, performance optimization).</li> <li>Proven experience with at least one Headless CMS: Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, or Contentstack.</li> <li>Strong understanding of monorepo-based development using Nx, Turborepo, or similar tooling.</li> <li>Strong experience with UI/UX implementation, responsive layouts, and accessibility standards.</li> <li>Expertise in animations and interactive UI.</li> <li>Hands-on experience with unit testing and component testing frameworks.</li> <li>Experience integrating REST/GraphQL APIs.</li> <li>Solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, TailwindCSS, and modern frontend tooling.</li> <li>Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Should have skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with shadcn/ui (or similar component libraries) in production environments.</li> <li>Experience with performance monitoring tools (Lighthouse, Sentry, New Relic).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD, Git branching strategies, and cloud-based deployment workflows (Vercel, AWS).</li> <li>Understanding of design systems and component libraries.</li> <li>Familiarity with Node.js or serverless functions.</li> <li>Experience working in agile teams and code review culture.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to have skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience contributing to or building design systems at scale.</li> <li>Knowledge of infrastructure setup (Docker, AWS, Vercel).</li> <li>Exposure to micro-frontend architectures.</li> <li>Understanding of backend fundamentals (Node.js, Express, serverless).</li> <li>Vibe Coding experience (low-code/visual development workflows).</li> <li>Experience with E2E testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright).</li> </ul> <p><strong>Need another reason to hit the “apply” button?</strong></p> <ul> <li>Codal is a global agency with over 250 employees, and offices in the US, UK, Canada and India&nbsp;</li> <li>We are a BigCommerce Partner and have won the Partner of the year award twice (most recently this past year).</li> <li>We regularly host happy hours, dinners, excursions, and other company events to unwind after a hard day at work.</li> <li>Company sponsored lunch every Wednesday.</li> <li>Health Insurance: Comprehensive medical coverage for employees and their dependents</li> <li>Maternity/Paternity Leave: Additional time off and support for new parents</li> <li>Professional Development: Opportunities for training, workshops, conferences to enhance employees' skills and knowledge</li> <li>Accidental Insurance</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Note: Codal only communicates with candidates through official @codal.com email addresses.
