Summary
Under limited supervision, evaluates and reports information related to the business. Runs queries, organizes data, performs analysis and generates useful information. Assists the business operations of the organization as and where needed to complete duties, special projects, etc. Monitors and maintains status of Business Operations contract deliverables to ensure compliance. Performs special process function audits as directed, reports finding and proposes solutions for improvements. Perform in-depth and precise investigations and document future-state reporting specifications and application reporting functionality. Knowledge of relevant business systems, as well as an understanding of policies, procedures, and constraints.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as an agent of change to help promote organization adoption of EHR and workflow to optimize patient safety and experience
Advises and supports editorial and production staff regarding use and maintenance of the integrity, consistency, and applicability of databases and related software tools.
Assists and collaborates with the Finance, Billing, QM, vendors, partners and other Departments as and where needed to complete duties, special projects, clinical quality and other metrics
Extracts data from multiple sources and creates integrated analytic datasets and creates reports and studies to address business and research questions
Interprets, modifies, analyzes and designs clinical systems, data and information
Leverage knowledge and expertise of healthcare metrics to develop and implement dashboards and reports for business systems utilizing analysis tools.
Assist in troubleshooting clinical systems
Tracks, monitors and implements improvement actions for department projects and evaluates the success of such actions.
Performs highly-complex quality assurance testing, designs and runs SQL (Structured Query Language) queries for enhanced and clinical data access
Prepares periodic grant and program expenditure and statistical information reporting
Reconciles patient data from outside sources to resolve discrepancies
Supports maintenance of organization databases, employing state-of-the-art technology and industry best practices to maintain the integrity, consistency, version control, database documentation and applicability of the organization.
Performs other related duties in accordance with agency growth and changes.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related filed OR;
3 years equivalent experience in designing and developing reports, data analysis and problem solving AND;
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in MIS, Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
Skills:
Experience with storing, retrieving, and querying data in a database.
Experience in the different phases of software development and in using development standards, processes, and tools.
Develop MS SQL stored procedures, scripting and report writing and knowledge of the NextGen development environment preferred.
Design and development of reports, data analysis and problem solving in electronic healthcare records, clinical healthcare experience, or combination of the above.
