About this role
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide information, assistance, and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of merchandise and meet the needs, requirements, and expectations of the customer
- To perform general housekeeping duties.
- To order merchandise for assigned areas as directed by the Lumber Manager as per Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures.
- To receive merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager as per Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures.
- To stock shelves and display merchandise as directed by the Lumber Manager as per Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures.
- To be familiar with and adhere to Prairie North Co-op policies and procedures including working in a diverse environment.
- To operate the point-of-sale terminal and prepare daily cash reconciliations when required.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience and knowledge of building material products.
- Valid Sask. Driver’s License, forklift training considered an asset
- Ability to work with co-workers and public.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 + lbs.
- Must be able to work with computers.
- Must be able to work unsupervised.
