Reporting to the Senior Accountant responsibilities for this position include the following: 

1. Process and audit sales cashups, providing reporting as required. 
2. Process supplier invoices, statements, and prepare correspondence and payments. 
3. Process and audit interdepartmental transfers.
4. Completion of initial draft gross margin calculations. 
5. Reconciliation of general ledger accounts (as required).
6. Assist with internal and external audits as required. 
7. Assist with maintaining petroleum records. 
8. Maintaining data entry of records
9. Work effectively with staff/supervisors and customers.
10. Assist with mail, stationary, office duties as required
11. Other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications

• Grade XII
• Courses Required: Introductory Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, and Intermediate Accounting II (or equivalents). 
• Completion of SIAST Accounting Certificate or equivalent would be considered an asset.
• One year of accounting related experience. (Including data entry)
• Extensive experience with Office specifically Outlook and Excel 1 & 2.
• Must be able to work mornings and afternoons. 
• *a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
