Exciting opportunity for an International Finance Accountant to play a key role in supporting our overseas operations.
About the role
Join our international accounting team where you will collaborate with local finance teams to ensure the firm-wide accounting system (3E) accurately reflects all local transactions, supporting both management reporting and UK statutory financial statements. You’ll work closely with local offices to guarantee timely regulatory filings that reconcile with local records, while driving best practice processes and controls that are reviewed through quarterly local sign-offs. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to global financial accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In this role, you can expect to get involved in a variety of work including:
Assisting local offices with preparation of year end accounts and working papers for audits
Respond to ad hoc financial queries by gathering and interpreting data
Management of year end audits / preparation of financial statements for international and CEE offices
Provide accounting support to overseas offices
Calculate loan interest and posting to local ledger
Complete month-end close process of several overseas local offices
Reconcile CEE & International 3E to local accounts (monthly / quarterly, annual financial statements)
Identify differences and understand why they arise
Review 3E accounts (local ‘accruals’ basis, local statutory basis, group partnership basis, UK group stat basis)
Monthly review of balance sheets / P&L. Identify unusual / incorrect balances and help to correct where necessary.
Review month end postings checklist to ensure completion by every office.
Manage and action running list of accounting issues in each entity in conjunction with local finance teams.
About you

Experience working as part of a financial accounting team with graduate-level education and a relevant professional accountancy qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA)
Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, and proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, professional manner and strong analytical ability
Ability to deliver high-quality, risk-aware, practical advice in clear, jargon-free language, leveraging IT and support functions to enhance services
Demonstrates initiative, good judgment, and adaptability, working well under pressure while managing multiple priorities accurately and meeting tight deadlines
Proactive about personal development, taking responsibility for training and continuous improvement with a self-motivated, “can-do” attitude
Upholds personal and professional integrity, owning errors promptly and setting an example through consistent, enthusiastic professionalism
Effective planner and organiser, skilled at prioritising tasks, identifying risks early, and seeking support when needed
Willingness to learn and possess broad knowledge of the firm's services, markets, and activities
