What You'll Do
- Carry out gas metal arc welding (GMAW) to manufacture and repair equipment items and components
- Cut materials into the required shapes, checking dimensions and thicknesses
- Welding or joining metal and other materials into a wide range of structures
- Operating different types of tools, machinery and welding equipment
- Evaluating finished projects and performing quality checks
- Performing all welding tasks using various welding equipment and technologies
- Designing new parts and producing them according to specifications and company needs
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
What You'll Need
- Capable of performing a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending, climbing and kneeling
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification
- Experience with stick, MIG, and wire feed welding
- Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication and equipment maintenance preferred
- Valid driver's license with current motor vehicle insurance and a clean driving record
Your Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
