As Systems Engineer I, you will design and support enterprise systems in the Cleveland Clinic Health System. This position aligns platform and technical strategies with the business vision and objectives through research, design, and architecture of new technologies. A person in this role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of enterprise systems in which you will also monitor, maintain, and optimize all systems hardware and operating systems 

 

A caregiver in this position works on a hybrid schedule, on-site two days per week at Cleveland Clinic Administrative Campus, Monday - Friday 8:00am—5:00pm, with occasional on-call requirements (3-4 times a year). 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Contribute to the design, engineering, and implementation of systems infrastructure. 

  • Install and maintain operating systems and related software. 

  • Manage and monitor enterprise systems environment. 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems in the system environment. 

  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate, and resolve issues. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • High School Diploma or GED. 

  • Appropriate industry credentials may be required. 

  • For Information Technology Division caregivers, ITIL Foundations certification is required within six months of the position start date.  

  • Three years’ work experience in a technical/analytical position responsible for managing server environments. 

  • For IT Security, minimum three years’ work experience in a technical/analytical position in risk/compliance areas. 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience. 

  • 3+ years of experience in physical desktop and virtual desktop computing environments. 

  • 3+ years of experience directing system-level design and configuration of products including determination of hardware, OS, and other platform specifications 

  • 3+ years desktop engineering and troubleshooting experience 

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows server and desktop environments (Windows 11, Windows Server 2022/2019) 

  • A thorough understanding of desktop image build and deployment technologies 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills 

  • In depth troubleshooting experience with Windows OS and applications 

  • Experience configuring and maintaining Group Policies 

  • Experience in writing CMD scripts, VB scripting, and PowerShell 

  • Experience with Endpoint Management Platforms (Intune, Tanium, SCCM, MSEndpoint Manager, etc.) 

  • Experience with software packaging and delivery technologies 

  • Experience with endpoint patching and vulnerability management 

Physical Requirements:

  • Typical physical demands include manual dexterity sufficient to operate basic office equipment.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
